INSURANCE-FOCUSED MITIGATION

Insurance concern? Turn it into a clear property plan.

If an inspection has raised concerns or you’ve received a mitigation requirement, non-renewal notice, or a low wildfire risk score, we can help identify the issues on your property and complete the work within your control.

How to insurance concerns into a safer home.

COLORADO INSURANCE CONTEXT

This new law will help protect homeowners from losing their insurance if their homes and properties meet mitigation standards. It will also help homebuyers obtain more affordable insurance if the property they plan to purchase meet those standards.

HB25-1182 became law and took effect July 1, 2026.

With the introduction of this new law, insurers are now required to recognize mitigation efforts. Insurers must account for certain property-level and community-level wildfire mitigation work when evaluating risk and pricing coverage. If their models do not account for mitigation, they generally must offer qualifying policyholders a discount for demonstrated mitigation.
